SCASD INTRAMURAL KAYAKING PROGRAM
Paddling Site Information

The State College Area School District intramural (IM) program for kayaking for middle school students uses paddling sites at Bald Eagle State Park and at Sunnyside Slalom Course on Spring Creek in Bellefonte.
Transportation will be provided to and from both middle schools to the paddling sites.
At their option, and with advance notice to Joan, parents may pick up students on site at 6:00pm.
At either location the parent or designee will be required to sign the student out.
Directions to the paddling sites:
| To Bald Eagle State Park: |

- Take PA-26 N from State College to US-322 W.
- Take the exit onto I-99 N / US-220 N toward I-80/Bellefonte.
- Continue onto PA-26 N / US-220 N. Continue to follow PA-26 N.
- Slight right to merge onto I-80 W toward DuBois.
- Take exit 158 for PA-150 N (Milesburg).
- Turn LEFT onto PA-150 N / N Eagle Valley Road at end of Exit ramp.
- Turn RIGHT onto Main Park Road (park entrance) and follow the signs to the swimming area. We will paddle from the beach area.
- ATLERNATIVE: Turn RIGHT at Lower Green Run Launch Area sign and follow the signs to the launch area.

| To Sunnyside Slalom Course: |

- Use the State College bypass (I-99 N / US-220 N) to Bellefonte PA 150 N exit
or
Take PA 26 N towards the Nittany Mall and bear LEFT onto PA 150 N/Benner Pike toward Bellefonte
- Continue on PA 150 N into Bellefonte
- Turn LEFT onto Lamb's Crossing Bridge (next bridge after High St; has traffic light)
- At the Stop sign turn RIGHT (by Uni-Mart) onto N Thomas St
- Just after a broken concrete abutment, bear RIGHT and down the hill onto Railroad St (not marked)
- At the Stop sign past the tracks turn RIGHT onto Sunnyside Blvd
- After the curve Sunnyside Blvd will bear left and a railroad siding will open on the right. Park on the left across the street from the RR gate. Cross the road and tracks carefully as they are heavily used. The IM group will be creekside.
